Peru La Tierra de Los Yachaqs
Pachamama is a Peruvian local tour operator created in 2001 in order to promote alternative and responsible tourism. We organize tours through Peru and Bolivia combining the classic tourist attractions with the values of sustainable development. We care about environment protection, social economy and cultural respect.
Moreover, Pachamama is member of the CIAP family, an association of Peruvian craftsmen which stands for fair trade, microcredit and sustainable tourism
We further the intercultural exchange between travellers and locals in a sustainable, respectful and social vision. We want our clients to see the main Peruvian touristic attractions but also to discover other Peruvian destinations and local communities with its inhabitants and its culture.
We work directly with local communities and craftsmen who we support via social, economic and environmental projects aiming at improving their living conditions.
Pachamama considers social economy as a working basis and an ethical principal, integrating sustainable development values in the heart of our activities.
Our tour operator is located in Lima and we work with local coordinators in every Peruvian region: in Lima with Pamela who is in charge of the global coordination and then, in Puno; Arequipa; Cusco; Trujillo, Chiclayo y Cajamarca; Chachapoyas; and in Bolivia.
Through our 10 years’ experience in creating alternative and responsible tours in Peru we have developed logistic tools so that we can organize and adapt our programs to your desires and requests.
