PERU

Peru is a country in South America that’s home to a section of Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains. By integrating into the local and rural communities of Peru, the tourists can understand and live the ancient Inca culture including music, food and the lifestyle. Fishing as an old and permanent task is one of the activities that tourists can do with the locals and feel it not as a hobby but as a job. Learning about beautiful textiles and  and being a part of agricultural activities are among the reciprocal benefits of the development of community-based tourism in Peru.

Because Peru has such a diverse geography the climate can be varied per region. If it's warm on the coast it can be very cold in the mountains and you can find completely different weather in the jungle. On the coast winter lasts from June to September. During this period, the mountainous areas are often sunny and warm during the day but cold at night. This is tourist season and the best time to visit most regions. Heavy rains in the mountains and jungle last from December to April. It hardly ever rains in Lima and most of the coast. However there are some places, like Tumbes and Piura, which have tropical climates.
